Happy 2! Day 3

Luca: 24 months old

Now, it’s Family Time! On May 13th Saturday, your grandma, cousins, uncle, and aunt came over to celebrate your birthday. You received more birthday presents again from them and you were so excited! You got Thomas the Train blocks, Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore stuffed animals and trucks!

Your cousins: Ben, Sam and Joe are about 15 years older than you are but hopefully you will play with them more and they can be your big brothers. 🙂

Much Love,
Your Mama

Papa had a heart issue

Luca: 14 months old

This just happened last Saturday. He was complaining he has been having a headache over a month now. So his PCP gave him Flonase to take care of the headache. He had the first take on last Saturday followed by 2 cups of coffee. This combination gave him a similar to a stroke. His heart rate went up to 200 for a moment and went down to 140-160. Once he sat down and rest, his heart rate became normal but as soon as he got up and started to walk just to go to a bathroom, his heart rate went back to 180 or so. We went to ER three times over the weekend and finally he was accepted to admit at the Keiser on Sunset Blvd. I thought he would be better to be admitted and be monitored. We were scared, Luca.

Your Papa takes care of you so well and I don’t know what to do without him. He is a strict person but very warm, thoughtful and fun person as well. He might be tough on you but he won’t forget to make you laugh after you cry.

After this what happened to your Papa, I thought you and I should NOT take your Papa for granted. We should always show our love to him (or anyone you care!) and our appreciation. You never know when God needs him (or any of us) and bring him back to heaven. I hope it’s not anytime soon.

Much love,
Your mama

Solid Food: veggie stew, udon, egg

Lately, when I try to change your diaper, you get so restless. You are so curious your surroundings and don’t let me change it peacefully. You let your papa change it fine though. So I want to figure why and how to change it without the fuss.

First of all, I might not giving you some fun stuff when and while I change it. I take it very seriously and your papa doesn’t. It seems like you laugh more with him than when you are with me. So I’m trying to change that. Making you more laugh and giving you some fun stuffs while you are on the changing table. I even give you multiple pacifiers and make you in “Pacifier Paradise”! Lol and this seems to be working! You were so quiet and let me change it peacefully.

It has been a couple days since I figured the “Pacifier Patadise” and we were happy together… Until this morning.

You had a poo in the diaper and you were fine with Paradise but once I tried to pull some wipes out, the Paradise system was broken. You wanted to roll around and grab the wipes box with poo on your behind. I panicked a little bit and tried to wipe your butt as soon as I could but you sat on the table and poo was everywhere. I was frustrated and upset. And I threw a tantrum without thinking. And right after that, you looked scared and copied my tantrum.

Do you know how I felt so bad right after I saw you copied me? I noticed you have been getting upset when your things didn’t go the way you wanted to. And I realize that you are just copying me (or papa).

I am sorry, Luca. I will try not to throw a tantrum again. I have to make sure I need to make a calm environment for you.

Look at your precious face. Discipline is important but not tantrum. Tantrum is not a good way of communication, and I don’t want you to learn that. I reflect on that.

I love you so much, Luca.

Much love,
Your mama

Finally they got closer to each other!

I love this view that Nash actually likes to be next to Luca. I always thought he didn’t care much.

Luca: 23 weeks old

I was super tired to put him down in to his crib after the breastfeeding and he fell in sleep in my bed around 4am this morning.

I woke up around 630am and this is what I found: Nash was right next to Luca.

Usually Nash is always scared of Luca because of course he screams, and cries ALL the time. I can tell Nash thinks Luca is a little crazy creature. He is always cautious.

But I’m pretty sure Nash thought it’s safe to be next to him AND he can sleep right next to me.

I always tell Luca Nash is his big brother. So is Happy. And I can see in his eyes that he is curious about both of them and started to show his smiles when he sees them.
